Now relax: breathe in…2..3…4. Out…2…3…4… That’s not all. The phone functions as a Windows Vista Sideshow device! This means you can use your phone to access and control your PC or laptop, as a secondary display for Vista, or even as a Media Extender letting you watch all your pre-recorded movies, TV, and video on the phone via a WiFi or 3G cellular connection!
This is a big-up for i-Mate, who recently got dumped by king-of-smartphones HTC from China. A lot of people thought it was curtains for i-Mate after that; but then all this Ultimate hype starting streaming out of 3GSM today, and we couldn’t be happier. Available before June of this year (BEFORE the iPhone) on either Cingular/at&t or T-mobile.

But is it REALLY Ultimate if it runs WinMo?
Glad to see imate be able to come out stronger after being dumped by HTC. This 7150 phone is very stylish and full of useful features. I hope imate would also include GPS and mobile TV and it would be the real Ultimate phone.
HTC on the other hand has been quite uninspiring with their new phones announced at the 3GSM show.
hopefully it’ll be with cingular, so i can replace my 8125, Yaddiiigggg.

Actually Michael, it does exist. As per the Imate website, they will be launching early 2008. Let’s just hope its worth the wait.
Check this out:

Originally they said they will be launching in summer 2007. So it’s most probably just a vaporware.
It will be released September 2007.
Arima Communications, the same makers of the XDA Flame, make the 7150.
The Flame was 2-3 months late, but is very real (I have one), so it only makes sense the 7150 might be late too.
Better late than never, or better late than rushed and buggy.
i cant wait until this comes out. http://www.buglerroller.com
