iPhone ‘magic’ tricks. How do they do it?
3 07 2007
This guy is standing outside a NY Apple Store on launch day demonstrating some pretty cool tricks on his iPhone. X-Ray camera mode, some cool shake and zoom effects, and a little old fashion hide-the-coin magic trick. These features are obviously not included in an out-of-the-box iPhone.
SO how does he do it? It could be an elaborately produced video file that is playing on the iPhone’s video iPod, and he just narrates and pretends to interact with the preset effects produced in a video app like Adobe After Effects. That’s my bet. What do you think? Is he really MAGIC? The geek version of David Blaine? Ha!

if it wasnt for me you wouldnt have this video lol jk
i but its a hidden menu/easter egg.
u buy it on hotrix.com
a few clever programme to the iphone’s software will make it work! It’s possible
I don’t own an iPhone, but has anyone used the hotrix.com apps? Do they actually interact with the accelerometer, or are they just videos? I’m guessing the latter because the timing doesn’t always match up perfectly, and that would have to be a pretty elaborate program to work with the accelerometer.
its just a video guys. ur soo confused
Yeah, its all just a video. Ive never used it, but everything is strictly timed. My assumptions were confirmed when i watched a few people preform these tricks on youtube and noticed the popcorn video was always the same. Still looks fun though, and cheap!
It is just a video, I have made my own with cheerios and you can go inside and grab some cheerios, all fake, but fun.
you guys its just a video…you have to get good with it and no when to tilt it and everything. i have it on my phone and its pretty cool. you have to buy them from hotrix.
If you watch closely, he doesnt really touch the applications. You see him hover over the screen and some applications ‘run’ before he even gets close to the screen. Its a video but in really good quiality.
look carefully at the screen at the end…… thats right its a youtube video!
