Samsung trumps all with scorching new 8 gigabyte RAM stick

9 12 2005

Moore’s Law strikes again, with the doubling of capacities on high end RAM chips by Korean techno-overlord Samsung. 8 gigabytes on one stick of memory. I can remember having 1 / 8,000th of that in my 80286 PC from Hewlett Packard as a boy. (A PC which cost my parents $3,000) Today most home computers still have less than one gig on their boards. As is often said on this blog: “THE FUTURE IS NOW!”
