Tune of the week: Glös – Unharmed

I think this is the first non-electronic song I’ve ever admitted listening to. Just kidding.. The band is Glös and they remind me a lot of the early Deftones.

This bit from Stereogum:

Since Virginia post-hardcore band Engine Down’s 2005 breakup, Keely Davis has been playing with Sparta, which is fine and well — but we miss Engine Down’s sharply melodic brand of emotional punk. So it was nice to hear that Keeley and ED drummer Cornbread Compton were involved in a new project, crafted by trading files via email, and calling along Davis’s sister Maura (formerly of Denali, presently of Ambulette) for the 11-song effort Harmonium. Here’s one of our favorites, with Keeley hiding behind a slight filter effect before the song blooms into a shadowy burner.
